Special Education at San Diego Met
Program Descriptors:
- Special Education model is full-inclusion with most supports provided in the general education classroom, some small groups, and some one-on-one support
- Related services provided are those according to the student IEP
- School psychologist on-site two times per month
- School nurse services available through consultation upon request
Learning Environment:
- Instructional format is through Project Based Learning integrated within traditional teaching and exams to afford a blended learning environment which prepares students for post-secondary options
- Independent study skills are utilized in this rigorous, college preparatory environment
- Time management skills are taught and supported throughout the school year to help students balance high school course of study with internship, projects and college coursework

- Possess organization, time management and independent study skills
- Utilize appropriate behavior management strategies
- Are self-starters who take initiative
- Are motivated for post-secondary interests and goal-oriented
