Matthew Becerra began teaching at the San Diego Met in 2019. He teaches US History, ASB and is an Advisor for the Class of 2028. He has been working in classrooms and education for over a decade. In this time, not only has he been working in classrooms but he has also worked a variety of roles within the field of education including but not limited to: curriculum design, coaching/mentoring, and strategic planning. In 2012 he received his BA in history from San Francisco State University and in 2016 he received his M.Ed in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of San Diego. While he currently resides in San Diego, he is originally from the San Gabriel Valley.
